Kat’s Corner at The Willingboro Grand Marketplace

Kat's Corner at The Willingboro Grand Marketplace

While out and about with my friend Zola Aminata (http://www.angelsinthespirit.com) we met Vincent and his Grandmother Katherine, Proprietor of “Kat’s Corner” (click on the picture for a quick tour). It’s a beautiful nook with antiques jewelry, pocketbooks and knick-knacks. If you have not ventured to the Willingboro Grand Market, they are housed in the Flea Market section, set aside some time Thursday, Friday or Saturday to stroll up and down the avenues. http://grandfleamarket.nova-antiques.com/

New CFO in Town

Good Morning,

My brother blessed me with 1 Chronicle 4:10 this morning.  It is the Prayer of Jabez. It is not new to me, I have read it and prayed it several times. As I wrote the scripture down, the last part of the scripture was a revelation. I realized it is not only important to pray and ask the Lord to “enlarge my border”. It also says, “and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain.” Wow!

We do have a tendency to ask the Lord to give us more. Nevertheless, more is not necessarily something we can handle unless God’s hand is also in it. Maybe that is why so many lottery winners fail to maintain or increase their winnings. The money is not from God, and if it is, they do not call on him to guide their financial decisions.

This morning I declare the degree, “The Lord God orders my steps. He placed a hedge of protection around my heart, and I will call on His name when decisions, especially financial decisions, have to be made.”

I am not referring to minor decisions that do not impact my well-being or the well-being of my family. I am talking about how I manage the use of my time and money. Do I invest my time on a project? Do I work with this client? Do I offer this product and service? Do I get rid of certain aspects of my products or service?

From this day forward, I am focused on moving from “Good to Great” in serving my clients. No decision will be made. No client will be signed. No opportunity will be moved on without my CFO’s authorization.

I have a new CFO in charge of One Smart Lady Productions. My Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

Does Family Background Determine Our Career Choices?

This was a question posed by Yoshito Hori, Founder and President of GLOBIS.

I thought that in light of my upcoming book I would share with you my response.Image

“The Patriarchs in my family were all business owners (part-timers in some cases). My dad worked for Merck for 34 years and at the same time had his own Miniature Golf and Driving Range (1962 – 198?). During the 1950s and 1960s, my grandfather owned and operated a grocery store. His father was a Chesapeake “Waterman”, he fished for crabs for a living. I worked in corporate for 16 years, but decided to take a severance package and set out on my own. I started out as a Computer Training Consultant in 1985. I started my own Publishing company in 1998 and I am currently an Independent Publishing Consultant and Author. Over that past 28 years “My Mission” has been not to be locked into a job. So I would say my family background had a lot to do with my life choices, and am thoroughly thankful.”

With Visions of 2014 Stretched Out Before Me…

2014! Wow! This year I turn 64. I thank God that I am active; I am resilient; I am creative; I am forward thinking and I am the object of affection by the man I love.

Over the holiday, many of our friends and family members celebrated birthdays. Willie, my husband and I, were surprised by the ages of many of them. We realized that on an average 80% of the people we know are at least 15-20 years younger.

It also answered the question, why we felt excluded from a lot of social events and activities. We were much older than many of our friends.   On the other hand, some people our age, acted older and set in their ways. Somehow, they had stopped seeking enjoyment and seeing life as an opportunity to continue to grow and learn. They bought into the go to school, get a degree, get a joy, work for 40 years and retire as early as you can.  They have succumbed to ailments that hold them back from enjoying life.

This year, 2014, will be my best year yet. I believe that my future is being designed by God. The Lord has given me such a vision for this year, and I am eagerly charting my days. It is done by His will.  I am praying for continued good health. In fact, I am reactivating my “Bioactive Wall” program and their Defy – Age Intervention Program by Morinda/TNI. I will be an example of how woman my age can still enjoy life and reach their dreams. Here is a link to “Real Woman Real Results”.  I just wanted to share this with you because now is the time to reset your life if it’s stalled. Join me on this exciting journey throughout 2014.
